Packed with plenty of warm clothes, Lightning class excitedly set off on their 5-day residential trip to Avon Tyrrell on Monday 3rd February 2020. Some were nervous at the thought of being away from home but quickly got stuck into the activities once settled into their new surroundings. Children and staff took on challenges including high-ropes, survival skills, den building and mountain biking along with group challenges. Well done to everyone who tackled new activities and conquered fears. The food was delicious too, and lots of it.
The children returned to school on Friday 7th February tired but full of stories they could not wait to share with their families. Thank you to Mrs Adams, Mr Deane, Mrs Wilson and Mrs Salkeld for taking such good care of all the children whilst they were away. The children certainly made amazing memories which they will cherish forever.
