Charter Rose goes Horse Riding

Our children from the Charter Rose unit have been horse riding at Larkrise Farm in Trowbridge. Horse riding has been recognised as an effective therapy for children with autism. The sessions so far have gone very well, with pupils usually reluctant to wear items of clothing such as hats and wellingtons, agreeing to do so quickly and enthusiastically. An immediate benefit of the activity is the self-confidence the pupils have gained. Here are some photos:
